Ingredients
  • (dry)
  • 1 ¾ cup flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ ginger
  • ¼ ground cloves
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • (wet)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • ½ cup butter
  • ¾ cup pumpkin
  • ¾ cup choc chips
  • Glaze
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp allspice
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1-2 tbls. heavy cream

Directions
  1. In medium bowl mix dry ingredients. Set aside.
  2. In large bowl, mix butter with sugar well, add vanilla and eggs and remix until creamy.
  3. Now add a ¼ of dry ingredients to the large wet ingredient’s bowl and mix. Then add some pumpkin and mix. Repeat alternating dry and pumpkin ending with dry.
  4. Add chips.
  5. Pour into 9 inch, well greased loaf pan and bake at 350 for 45 min. (Double the recipe to fill a bundt pan.) Cover loaf with tin foil for first 30 minutes. Remove foil for last 15-20 minutes. Check at 40 minutes and then every 5 minutes with a knife into the center for dryness. Let cool in pan until warm.
  6. Glaze-
  7. Add a little cream and mix well. Add more cream until you get a thick syrup consistency.
  8. Drizzel glaze over warm loaf so it melts down the sides.
