Pop In And Have Some Poppy Seed Cake

My mother asked "where are the poppy seeds?" and the clerk said "I thought those were illegal".... I sure hope not! If you do decide to "pop in", please call first!
Ingredients
- 1 box(181/2 oz) yellow cake mix shopping list
- 1 package (31/2 oz) instant vanilla pudding shopping list
- 1/2 cup cooking oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup sherry shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup poppy seeds shopping list
- 4 eggs, separated shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
How to make it
- Grease & flour cake pan
- Stir together cake mix, pudding, oil, sherry, sour cream and poppy seeds.
- Add egg yolks and beat 2 minutes
- Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff and fold into first mixture.
- Fold in walnuts.
- Bake in 10 inch Bundt or tube pan at 350 degrees F for 40 - 50 minutes
- Good with a lemon juice & powdered sugar glaze!
