How to make it

  • Grease & flour cake pan
  • Stir together cake mix, pudding, oil, sherry, sour cream and poppy seeds.
  • Add egg yolks and beat 2 minutes
  • Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff and fold into first mixture.
  • Fold in walnuts.
  • Bake in 10 inch Bundt or tube pan at 350 degrees F for 40 - 50 minutes
  • Good with a lemon juice & powdered sugar glaze!

    Your story about poppy seeds is too funny. I remember back in the 70's people saying that about poppy seeds.(oops gave away my age!UGH!)Your recipe sounds wonderful. And I love the name.Thanks for the post.
