How to make it

  • In a skillet, saute onion in butter until tender.
  • Stir in flour until blended.
  • Remove from the heat.
  • Gradually whisk in the water, vinegar and sugar.
  • Return to the heat.
  • Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat; stir in the remaining ingredients.
  • Serve warm or cold.
