This is a very versital recipe. You can adjsut to your own taste. It is great as a panini or on a soft roll, but best on crusty bread that has been flattened and grilled.

  • pork roast.any kind will do butt is best
  • olive oil
  • garlic fresh is best, powder is ok
  • cayenne
  • limes
  • lemons
  • oranges
  • oregano
  • several hot perppers would be good if you like heat
  • onions
  • salt
  • pepper
  • chicken broth
  • mayo
  • good mustard
  • nice crusty bread of your choice, flat is best or ciabatta is very good
  • pepper jack cheese or cheese of your choice, cheddar is not a good choice
  • good quality pickle spear

Directions
  1. rinse roast well under cold water
  2. rub with olive oil
  3. salt and pepper generously
  4. use garlic power at this point if not using fresh garlic
  5. place is slow cooker
  6. squeeze two lemon, limes, and oranges onto roast
  7. add about teaspoon of dried oregano to slow cooker along with fresh garlic add your hot peppers at theis point also
  8. slice two large onions into slow cooker
  9. fill slow cooker half with chicken broth and half water
  10. cook on high overnight at least 12 hours.
  11. longer to carmalize the onions
  12. drain and reserve liquid
  13. put mayo on both sides of your bread
  14. add cheese
  15. add sliced pickles
  16. pile on the meat
  17. slather on mustard
  18. you may cook in panini grill or eat as is
  19. you may also microwave for about 45 seconds if you are in a hurry
