Candy Crunch Pudding Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 cups Oreo baking crumbs (or crushed Oreo wafer cookies)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 2 pkgs (4 serving size each) Jello Instant Chocolate Pudding
  • 1 1/3 cups thawed Cool Whip (or equivalent real whipped cream - my preference)
  • 2 milk chocolate English toffee candy bars, about 2oz each, coarsely chopped and divided
  • 1 square semi-sweet chocolate, melted

Directions
  1. For crust: Thoroughly combine baking crumbs and butter and press over bottom and up sides of an 9" pie plate; set aside.
  2. Pour milk into a large bowl and add the pudding mixes. Beat for 2 minutes or until thickened. Gently fold in 1 cup of whipped topping.
  3. Reserve about 3 Tbsp of the chopped candy; gently fold the remainder into the pudding mixture.
  4. Spoon pudding mixture into crust and top with remaining whipped topping; sprinkle with reserved chopped candy and drizzle with melted chocolate.
  5. Can be served immediately, but sets up well if you refrigerate it for at least half an hour.
  6. Store leftovers (as if!) in the fridge.
