How to make it

  • IN a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Drain and reserve 1 tespoon of drippings. Crumble bacon and set aside. Saute onion and thyme in drippings. Add the water, potatoes, carrots and celery, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 20-25 mins. or until vegetable are tender. Add tomatoes, parsley and bacon; cook for 10 minutes. Add fish; heat througly. Yields 12 servings

    I am always trying chowder recipes and I don't ever recall making a fish chowder Now I am going to have to try yours so that I can say that I have. . .and because this one sounds delicious =D
