Aunt Dells Peanut Butter Sticks

Wow, this one dates back for generations in my family. When I got the recipe it was barely legible and written on the flap of an old envelope. My Aunt always had these in a tin on her coffee table when we'd visit.
Ingredients
How to make it
- Cut crusts off bread and cut into 5-6 strips.
- Toast bread and trimmings slowly at 300 degrees until very crisp.
- Cool completely
- Crush up toasted trimmings into bread crumbs.
- Beat peanut butter with oil until it reaches a cream consistency like that of a slightly loose cake frosting.
- Roll toasted bread sticks in peanut butter cream coating all sides.
- Roll in toasted bread crumbs.
- Store in airtight container for weeks.
