Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • pinch of salt

Directions
  1. Beat butter and shortening
  2. Add sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt
  3. Mix while scrapping the bowl
  4. Add egg and vanilla
  5. Slowly add in flour
  6. Divide dough in half (at this time chilling could be taken place if needed)
  7. Lightly flour surface and create desired size of cookies.
  8. Place on a ungreased cookie sheet
  9. Bake at 375 degrees for about 7-8 minutes
  10. And let cool.
