How to make it

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Mix sugar, pumpkin, shortening and orange peel.
  • Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  • Mix in raisins and nuts.
  • Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet (or parchment paper).
  • Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes; cool.
  • Frost with Creamy Vanilla Frosting:
  • Mix powdered sugar and margarine or butter.
  • Stir in vanilla and milk; beat until smooth and of spreading consistency.

    geesh, I'm not sure joining this page was a good idea. I did mention I recently stopped smoking right. My intent is to cook to keep busy not eat lol. Chihuahu you're wearing me down lol. Home made cookies yummmmm.
