Persian Spinach Dip with Caremlized Onions

- 2 pounds fresh spinach washed shopping list
- 2 sweet onions diced shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 pint plain yogurt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup walnuts lightly toasted shopping list
How to make it
- In a large pan cook spinach in water that clings to the leaves until it wilts.
- Drain and rinse under cold water and gently squeeze out excess liquid.
- Chop finely and reserve.
- In medium pan cook onions in butter over medium heat until well caramelized.
- Cool then mix with spinach, yogurt, salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle with toasted walnuts and serve.
