Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup solid vegetable shortening
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups pecans, coarsley chopped
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate baking chips

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Beat the dry ingredients in a large bowl with shortening at medium speed until crumbly.
  3. Then beat in eggs and vanilla.
  4. With a wooden spoon stir in raisins, chips, and chopped nuts.
  5. Scoop up 1/4 cup of dough for each cookie and drop 2 inches apart
  6. on 2 ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes or until slightly crackly on top.
  8. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool.
  9. This makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
