Ingredients
  • 2 cans (21 oz each..Lucky Lady brand used) Prem. Cherry Pie Filling
  • 3/4 cup sugar, plus additional for sprinking
  • 1/4 cup of flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Pastry for double crust 9-inch pie
  • Milk for brushing

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  2. Mix cherry can contents, 3/4 cup of sugar, flour, almond extract, cinnamon, lemon juice and salt
  3. Cut butter into small pieces and dot top of filling
  4. Put top crust or Lattice Pastry on top
  5. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, reduce heat to 350 degrees, cover with foil, and bake for another 25 minutes
