Cheese Strata Recipe
This Cheese Strata tastes so good!! There is a chill time of from 4 hours to overnight. I usually prepare it for baking the night before... My son, Chris really loves it!!

Ingredients
  • 6 slices Pepperidge Farm Toasting White Bread, cut into cubes (or your favorite bread!)
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • Dash of red pepper or cayenne (optional)

Directions
  1. PLACE bread cubes in greased 2-quart shallow baking dish.
  2. Mix soup, red pepper/cayenne (if desired), milk and eggs.
  3. Add shredded Swiss Cheese, thoroughly mixing in.
  4. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
  5. When ready to bake uncover.
  6. BAKE at 350-degrees F for 45 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
  7. TIP:
  8. Recipe may be doubled.
  9. Double all ingredients.
  10. Divide ingredients evenly between two greased 2-quart shallow baking dishes.
  11. Serves 12.
