IS A KENTUCKY FAVORITE DURING THE DERBY AND ALL YEAR .

Ingredients
  • 2 EGGS , BEATEN
  • 1 STICK BUTTER, MELTED AND COOLED
  • 1 CUP SUGAR
  • 1/2 CUP PLAIN FLOUR
  • 1 t VANILLA
  • 3/4 CUP CHOCOLATE CHIPS
  • 1 CUP CHOPPED PECANS
  • 1 9 - INCH UNBAKED PIE SHELL

Directions
  1. BEAT TOGETHER EGGS, BUTTER,SUGAR, FLOUR, UNTIL WELL BLENDED
  2. ADD VANILLA , CHOCOLATE CHIPS , AND NUTS
  3. ADD TO PIE CRUST AND BAKE AT 325 FOR 30 TO 35 MINS
  4. BEST TO REMOVE FROM OVEN AFTER ABOUT 28 MINS SO IT WILL BE A LITTLE BIT GOOEY .

All time favorite of my family and I. Sometimes I substitute walnuts if I don't have enough pecans. Taste good too.

I dump 1/4 cup of Kentucky bourbon in the mix too. Special flavor.
