Polynesian Grilled Halibut Recipe

Polynesian Grilled Halibut Recipe
I played around with this recipe, a twist on a simple salmon recipe my dad gave me. Went great with a saffron/pineapple rice. Big hit with hubby and 15 year old daughter!

Ingredients
  • 4 average sized halibut fillets - not too thick, not too thin!
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp garlic powder (or couple cloves fresh garlic)
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients EXCEPT halibut in saucepan and heat until blended well. Grill halibut over med/hi heat on grill - we used heavy duty aluminum foil on the grill to prevent fillets from falling apart through grill rack. Baste sauce over halibut each side. About 5 mins each side or until fish is flaking apart. YUMMY!

This looks like a nice recipe!

This looks really good. I love using brown sugar with fish. I'm saving this to try. Thank you.

We've vowed to grill more fish this year, and this recipe sounds like a great place to start - great flavors w/ salmon...thanks!

I made this for dinner last night using salmon. It was delicious and easy to cut down for one person. Thank you.

Sounds delish!
