Meat Like Honey Recipe
This dish is an incredible way to enjoy lamb. Sweet, savory, and a bit salty, the mixture of flavors brings out the essence of the lamb.

Ingredients
  • 5 oz. lamb
  • 1 Tbsp. golden syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. castor sugar
  • 1 tsp. cornflour
  • Mix of:
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sherry
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • pinch of ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • oil

Directions
  1. Cut meat into thin strips about 2 inches long
  2. Dip in the syrup, coat in cornflour
  3. Quick-fry the meat on both sides in the oil, let drain
  4. Put fresh oil in the pan, add sugar and let it turn brown
  5. Add prepared mix of soy, vinegar, ginger, sherry, salt, with a bit of cornflour added
  6. When the sauce thickens, return meat, stir to heat
  7. Serve on a warm dish

I'm not a lamb fan, do you think this would be good with pork?


It won't be as good; with beef it's very bland. Venison might be a better choice.
