Pork Chops with Mustard Cider Sauce And Apple Compote

- 4 boneless pork chops shopping list
- 1 clove garlic crushed shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 4 tablespoons Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1 cup apple cider or juice shopping list
- 3 large apples cored and cut into wedges shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cinnamon stick shopping list
- 1 cup sherry shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Rub pork chops with crushed garlic then sauté chops in butter until brown.
- Brush with mustard on both sides then add cider and cover and cook until chops are done.
- Sauté apples in butter and lemon juice then add brown sugar and cinnamon stick.
- Add sherry and cook until sauce cooks down and becomes concentrated.
- Season with salt and pepper then place on warm plate and spoon sauce and compote over top.
