How to make it

  • Pat salmon dry
  • It can be cut into four servings, which will cook more quickly or left as one piece
  • Place salmon on plank that has been lightly rubbed with olive oil
  • Season salmon with salt and pepper
  • Spread top and sides with mustard and sprinkle with brown sugar
  • Center the plank over indirect heat (the side where the flame isn't)
  • Cover and cook for 20 to 30 minutes depending on size of pieces
  • Serve directly from plank

    This is a delicious way to grill salmon! We've been doing it for years! Cedar plank should only be used once though.
