Ingredients
  • 1, soft sub or torpedo roll
  • 1 can of imported sardines in oil and drained of oil
  • mayo- as much as you like
  • sliced onion
  • sliced tomatoes
  • shredded lettuce
  • sliced cheese, any you like
  • Oh I fogot and sliced hard boiled egg too!

Directions
  1. Smear both sides of the roll with mayonnaise
  2. Layer on sardines, onions, tomato, lettuce and cheese
  3. Top with other half of roll.
  4. Serve with potato salad and pickles

I was never fond of sardines and wonder if I could substitue the fake seafood stuff? If so this woud be an easy special sandwich for me to make!

I'm a chicken about sardines. If someone else makes them I eat them but I never do it myself. Maybe I could start with your sandwich.


What type of sliced cheese?


Any sliced cheese: swiss, cheddar, American, provolone etc and don't forget the sliced hard boiled egg too! I forgot to list it!
