How to make it

  • Heat oil in large frying pan and fry onions until golden brown
  • remove from heat and add ginger and garlic paste, stir.
  • Add turmeric and chilli, mix well.
  • Add meat with the curry leaves and cook until meat browns, stirring occasionally
  • Add tomato and 1/2 cup of water if necessary, depending on how juicy the tomatoes are, stir well and add remaining dried spices and coconut. Cook for 20 - 25 minutes. Add salt to taste.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander, serve with rice or Indian flat bread.
