How to make it

  • In a large bowl, mix all the cake ingredients, including the fruit and liquid. Pour into greased 9 x 13 - inch pan.
  • Bake at 350 for 35 minutes, or until top springs back when touched lightly in the middle.
  • While cake is baking, prepare the topping. In a small pan, bring the sugar, cream and butter to a boil. Simmer about 1 minute, remove from heat and add vanilla.
  • Pour the hot topping over the cake after you removed it from the oven.
