How to make it

  • Melt butter then stir in crumbs and sugar until thoroughly blended.
  • Press into the bottom of a springform pan then set aside.
  • Melt butter over low heat then add brown sugar, apples, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.
  • Simmer over low heat until apples are soft then cool mixture to room temperature and reserve.
  • In small bowl mix all topping ingredients together with fork until well incorporated then reserve.
  • Cream together sugar and cream cheese on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  • Add cream and continue beating until mixture is thick and creamy.
  • Gently stir in cooled apple mix by hand then pour into prepared spring form pan.
  • Spread praline topping over top then bake at 350 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  • Allow to cool to room temperature before removing sides of the pan.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve then garnish with whipped cream.
