How to make it

  • Heat syrup oiver medium heat, add sugar. Stir continuously. It may styart to bubble, when it becomes frothy turn down the heat . When it boils add margarine, stir until mixed then add vanilla, stir until mixed. Turn down to low and continue to stir.
  • In a very large bowl measure out rice cereal.
  • Pour the heated mixture over cereal. stir until coated.
  • When completely coated, pour the cereal into pan lined with parchment paper (or wax). Push down with spatula so it is about an inch thick.
  • Allow treats to cool for about an hour.
