Secret Italian Spaghetti Sauce

- 1 1/2 lb ground beef shopping list
- 1 lb italian sausage, removed from casing shopping list
- 1 lg onion chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic minced shopping list
- 2 cans ( 1 lb, 12 oz each ) whole tomatoes shopping list
- 2 cans ( 6 oz each ) tomato paste shopping list
- 1 can ( 15 oz ) tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 cup boullion ( beef, or chicken etc. ) shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp pepper shopping list
- 2 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp dried oregano shopping list
- 2 small bay leaves shopping list
- 1 Tbs aromatic bitters ( angostura ) shopping list
- 1/2 lb fresh mushrooms sliced shopping list
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Brown meat, drain any fat and add onions and garlic and cook and stir to release flavor.
- Add remaining ingredients except mushrooms and cheese.
- Simmered uncovered for 2 1/2 hours.
- Then add mushrooms and cheese.
- Cook another 30 minutes.
- Remove Bay leaves before serving
