Secret Italian Spaghetti Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb ground beef

1 lb Italian sausage, removed from casing

1 lg onion chopped

2 cloves garlic minced

2 cans ( 1 lb, 12 oz each ) whole tomatoes

2 cans ( 6 oz each ) tomato paste

1 can ( 15 oz ) tomato sauce

1 cup boullion ( beef, or chicken etc. )

1 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

2 tsp sugar

1 1/2 tsp dried oregano

2 small bay leaves

1 Tbs aromatic bitters ( angostura )

1/2 lb fresh mushrooms sliced

3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions

Brown meat, drain any fat and add onions and garlic and cook and stir to release flavor.

Add remaining ingredients except mushrooms and cheese.

Simmered uncovered for 2 1/2 hours.

Then add mushrooms and cheese.

Cook another 30 minutes.

Remove Bay leaves before serving

Preliminarily this sauce tastes good, sampling it as I cooked. Making this batch to freeze.

Get the spelling right in the title and maybe more people will find the recipe.
