Swiss Hamburger Gravy Recipe
Similar to Baked Steak or Swiss Steak but without all the prep time. We got this idea when I cooked too much ground beef for spaghetti and needed to use it up.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • onion (finely chop as much as you enjoy, tastes very)
  • 1 small jar Heinz Savory Beef Gravy
  • 1 small can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can of sliced mushrooms (small or large can, your choice) drained and rinsed

Directions
  1. Cook ground beef and onion without extra oil until no longer pink. Try and keep the beef in slightly larger pieces.
  2. Drain Beef Mixture
  3. Combine Soup, Gravy, Mushrooms and Hamburger Mixture in Crock Pot, mix well. Cook until bubbly and heated through. Cook as long as you like. The flavors build the longer it cooks.
  4. Serving ideas:
  5. Open Faced over Texas Toast topped with Mashed Potatoes and the Gravy (this is how we had it)
  6. Over Baked Potatoes
  7. Over Fried Potatoes
  8. Over Noodles like Stroganoff

Similar to my favorite dish growing up-brown the burger then add jarred gravy and frozen mixed veges-heat and serve over mashed potatoes--Thanks for sharing.
