Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter, plus 2 T for greasing pan
  • 2 1/4 c all purupose flour, plus extra for flouring pan
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1/8 t salt
  • 1 16 oz box light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 12 oz best-quality semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350, with a rack in center
  2. Butter adn 9x13 baking pan generously, ten dust with flour.
  3. Shake out any excess flour
  4. Sift together flour, baking power and salt, set aside
  5. Melt butter in a large, heavy saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Remove from heat and add sugar, stirring until dissolved and misture is smooth.
  7. Let mixture cool 3 to 4 minutes, the stir in eggs, 1 at a time
  8. Stir in dry ingredients and finally chocoalte chips
  9. The chips may start to melt slightly
  10. Scrape batter into prepared and and smooth the top
  11. Bake until a tester comes out clean, 20-30 minutes
  12. Cool to room temperature
  13. Cut into 32 squares
  14. Store in airtight container at room temp.
