Malt cheesecake
From angelicdragon 18 years agoIngredients
- 2 packets malt biscuits shopping list
- approx 1/3 cup melted butter shopping list
- 2 packets philadelphia cream cheese ( each pk is 250gm) shopping list
- 1 can condensed milk shopping list
- 1 600ml of thickened cream shopping list
- 4 tablespoons of Horlicks malt drink powder shopping list
- 1 large packet of Maltesers lightly broken up but not too fine. shopping list
- 4 teaspoons gelatine dissolved in hot water then cooled shopping list
How to make it
- Finely crumb the biscuits then mix with the butter to form a crumble, Spread into the base of a large cheesecake pan and then put in the fridge to set while you make the rest of the cheesecake.
- Place the cream cheese, condensed milk and cream into a large bowl and mix until very smooth with no lumps. I tend to soften the cream cheese in the microwave first for about 1 minute.
- Once it is smooth add in the gelatine mix and the Horlicks powder and beat again until well mixed.
- Now gently stir in the maltesers using a spoon.
- Once it is all stirred through then you pour into the cheesecake pan over the biscuit base.
- Place into the fridge and leave to set for at least 6 hours.
