Fun chocolate orange muffins cooked in the barbeque embers.

Ingredients
  • 6 thick skinned oranges (e.g. Seville)
  • 100g plain flour
  • 80g butter
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 80g brown sugar
  • 80ml milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • Lots of foil!

Directions
  1. Cut the top of the oranges and scoop out the insides. Keep the tops as lids!
  2. Sift the flour into a bowl and add the butter, egg and sugar.
  3. Stir well, then sift in the baking powder and cocoa.
  4. Add the milk and mix until just combined, and distribute between the orange skins (they should be about half full).
  5. Put the lids back on and wrap well in foil and throw onto the hot coals for about 20 minutes, turning a few times.
