I grew up with this cake...yesterday I spent two hours going through my late Mother's recipes to find it. Decided to make it this morning and while it's in the oven googled the recipe. Voila, here it is...word for word. We left Wichita Falls, TX in 1960 for VA, so my Mother must have cut this out of a magazine in TX and stapled it to a 3X5 card.

It's out of the oven and cooled...the aroma while baking is wonderful. It tastes just like I good!
