How to make it

  • Dissolve yeast and sugar in water; add oil and salt, stir in flour 1 cup at a time. Knead dough until smooth and then place in oiled small bowl and turn with oiled side up. Cover with cloth and let rest while grating cheese and sauteeing sausage.
  • Pat dough out on ungreased 12" round pizza pan or on a large cookie sheet for a crisp crust pizza. (For large one, use 3/4 can of pizza sauce, 1 1/4 lb. cheese, almost 1/2 lb pepperoni) Rub 1 tablespoon. oil on dough.
  • Spread sauce evenly over and sprinkle liberally with spices and herbs. Top with cheese then sausage and finally pepperoni. Bake at 450 until nicely browned.
