Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine soy, sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, oil and garlic and pour into a zip-lock bag, put salmon in bag. Place in refrig in sealed zip-lock bag to marinate for 3-6 hours. Take salmon out to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before grilling. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Micx together the butter and maple syrup and brush over entire surface of salmon. Sprinkle with a liberal amount of BBQ rub.
  • Get grill to about 350*. Place salmon on a fish grid and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Salmon is done when knife inserted in fillet slides in easily with no resistance.
  • Remove the salmon, brush on any remaining maple syrup and butter mixture and wrap in foil for 5-10 minutes before serving

Hey, you may like to try my lemon glazed salmon. I'm thinking this one would be good with the syrup added!

The marinade sounds great! I can't wait til' grillin' time.....daddy does the grillin'! I bet a little bourbon would be good in that marinade. A place I used to work as a waitress had grilled salmon marinated in bourbon, soy sauce & brown sugar......I'm not sure of the ratio tho'.
