One can either makes a wonderful strawberry OR blackberry pie with the recipe.

Ingredients
  • 2 Tbs cornstarch
  • 1 cup lemon lime soda
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 to 3 drops red or blue food coor ( optional ) Use red fpr strawberry and blue for blackberry
  • 3 cups fresh whole strawberries or blackberries
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1 baked 9 inch pie shell
  • whipped cream

Directions
  1. Mix cornstarch with a small amt of the soda until dissolved.
  2. Then in saucepan combine remaining soda and sugar and cook and stir over medium heat until it comes to a boil and thickened.
  3. Then add food coloring if using, add berries and stir gently to coat berries and set aside.
  4. Beat cream cheese and sugar till smooth.
  5. Spread over bottom of the baked pie crust.
  6. Add berry filling, mounding some berries in center.
  7. Chill at least for 2 hours.
  8. Pipe or spread on whipped cream to cover pie
