How to make it

  • preheat oven to 375
  • saute chicken in vegetable oil until no longer pink
  • season with dried herbs
  • add 2 cans of soup
  • add about 1 can of water, you want this thicker than a gravy but thinner than a porridge
  • add vegetables
  • add salt and pepper to taste
  • simmer for about 15 minutes
  • place in baking dish and top with pastry
  • poke a few holes
  • bake until golden brown

    This is a very similar recipe that I made up for my family. They just love it. I've used canned chicken, left over turkey, homemade pie crust and Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust. I also use 1 can of cream of potato soup and 1 can cream of chicken.
