Easy As Beef Bourguignon Recipe

Ingredients

2T butter

2T oil

2 small onions quartered

2 cloves garlic, crushed

4-6 rashers bacon, chopped

3/4kg chuck or round steak, cut in 2cm cubes

4T flour

1tsp thyme

1tsp oregano

1T tomato paste

1c beef stock

1c red wine (I use 1/2c wine and add an extra 1/2c stock)

250g sliced mushrooms

Directions

Heat butter and oil in pan. Add onion, garlic and chopped bacon. Saute until onions are tender.

Dust meat in flour and add to pan. Cook until meat is browned.

Transfer to a slow cooker and add remaining ingredients.

Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours or on high 4-5 hours.

Season to taste and serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
