How to make it

  • Heat butter and oil in pan. Add onion, garlic and chopped bacon. Saute until onions are tender.
  • Dust meat in flour and add to pan. Cook until meat is browned.
  • Transfer to a slow cooker and add remaining ingredients.
  • Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours or on high 4-5 hours.
  • Season to taste and serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
