Houstons Buttermilk Garlic Dressing - My Version

- 1 cup mayonnaise shopping list
- ¾ cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1 to 1 ½ cloves fresh garlic, crushed (minced very fine) shopping list
- ¼ tsp. kosher salt shopping list
- 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper (this is a lot, but it’s necessary) shopping list
- 1 tsp. dry mustard shopping list
- 1 ½ tsp. onion powder shopping list
How to make it
- Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth.
- Refrigerate.
- The flavor is better after a couple of hours.
- This is as close as I’ve been able to come to this great dressing. When compared directly to the restaurant’s version, it seems to lack a bit of an “eggy” flavor, and I haven’t figured out how to add that yet. This is pretty good so far, but next time I'll use Hellmann's regular mayo, or even homemade.
