SIMPLE BAKED CHOCOLATE TART WITH RASPBERRY SAUCE

- 24cm x 3cm deep pre cooked sweet pastry shell (or bake your own) shopping list
- 225g chopped bitter chocolate shopping list
- 75g unsalted butter shopping list
- 2 medium eggs shopping list
- 284mls (1/2 pint) double cream, heated shopping list
- 65g caster sugar shopping list
- pinch salt shopping list
- 3 tbsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 250g frozen raspberries shopping list
- 4 tbsp heaped caster sugar shopping list
- water shopping list
- lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 160c gas 3
- Melt the chocolate and unsalted butter together, over a pan of simmering water.
- In a bowl place the eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt and mix well.
- Slowly add the warm cream to the melted chocolate and butter, then mix well.
- Add the egg mixture and whisk well.
- Pour into the prepared pastry shell, then pop into the preheated oven.
- Cook for 12-15 Min's or until the outside (4cm) of the tart is set, then remove from the oven, and the residual heat will set the flan.
- Cool and serve at room temperature, with raspberry sauce.
- To make the sauce, liquidise the raspberries with the sugar and lemon juice. The add enough water to make a thickish sauce.

We do a similar recipe, but don't put it in a tart shell. Lay a layer of the sauce down and place the chocolate on top. Great post.
