Bacon And Creamy Fettuccini Recipe
This is an easy pasta dish that we make a lot in the summer. If you want to make it healthier use lower sodium bacon, fat free cream cheese and milk.

Ingredients
  • 1 package (16 oz) Bacon, cut into 1/2" pieces (You could also use cubed ham or pancetta too)
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 6 green onion, sliced
  • 8 oz fettuccine, uncooked
  • 1 packaged (8 oz) cream cheese, cubed
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil leaves, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme leave, crushed
  • 1 small tomato, chopped

Directions
  1. Cook Bacon until crisp; drain. Add mushrooms and onions to bacon in skillet; cook and stir 4 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, cook fettucine as directed on package in large saucepan; drain.
  3. Return fettuccine to saucepan; add cream cheese, milk and seasonings. Cook and stir on medium heat until cream cheese melts.
  4. Toss bacon mixture with fettucine mixture; sprinkle with tomato.
