Ingredients
- 2 fresh Atlantic cod steaks shopping list
- 1 lemon shopping list
- butter shopping list
- salt & pepper shopping list
- fresh basil shopping list
How to make it
- Wash cod steaks
- line a baking dish with foil
- place a few slices of butter on top of the cod
- squeeze lemon, salt, pepper, and place a few basil leaves on the fish
- cover with foil and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes
- do not overcook
- enjoy and then go buy Mark Kurlansky's novel "COD". Do it. It will change your life.
I threw a cod lunch as an inside joke from a history class last term...Swedish Fish is really good side dish.

Had to give it a 5 because I'm notoriously picky about fish- husband always loves it, I usually hate it, but this was SO delicious, I couldn't stop talking about it! So simple but exactly right!
