Ingredients

1 pkg. egg noodles(I use extra wide)

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef

1 clove garlic, minced

3 (8-oz.) cans tomato sauce

Salt and Pepper, to taste

1 Tbsp. Sugar

1 cup cottage cheese

1 (8-oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/3 cup chopped onion

1/4 cup chopped green pepers

1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Directions

Cook noodles according to package directions.

Brown ground beef and garlic.

Drain meat and add tomato sauces, salt, pepper and sugar; set aside

In a bowl blend together cottage cheese, cream cheese and mushroom soup.

Add green peppers and onions to the cheese mixture.

In a greased 9x13-in. pan, put 1/2 cooked noodles in bottom, spread all the cheese mixture on the layer of noodles, then top with the rest of the noodles.

Cover noodles with the ground beef mixture and top this with the cheddar cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

this recipe can be made ahead of time, put in a freezer and baked at a later date.
