How to make it

  • Place and mix together the coleslaw and bell peppers in a large bowl
  • Pour Sugar all over the top. (Splenda works well too)
  • Sprinkle Celery Seed over the mixture.
  • Heat together vinegar, oil and mustard until boiling and pour over the cabbage mixture, melting the sugar.
  • Toss several times, letting all the coleslaw mix wilt a little in the vinegar and oil.
  • Refrigerate, covered for several hours or overnight.
  • Sometimes If I am in a hurry, I just leave the slaw out tossing it often until it cools. It wilts faster. But either way it's good to go in 3 hours .
