Kiwifruit Sorbet

- 2/3 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 2/3 cup water shopping list
- 8 ripe kiwi, coarsely chopped shopping list
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice shopping list
- sliced kiwi for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Combine sugar and water in small saucepan. Heat and stir on low until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil. Do not stir. Remove from heat. Cool completely.
- Put kiwi, lemon juice and sugar mixture into food processor. Process until smooth. Pour into plastic wrap-lined 9 x 9 " pan. Freeze for 2 hours. Remove from pan. Discard plastic wrap. Cut fruit mixture into pieces. Transfer to food processor. Process until smooth. Return to same pan, lined with plastic wrap. Freeze for 4 to 6 hours until firm. Let stand at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish individual servings with kiwi slices. Makes about 3 1/2 cups.

Not only checked it out, but am now craving some. I'll bet its a beautiful color as well. Wouldn't the kiwi sorbet and watermelon granitas be beautiful together in a goblet with a spring of mint?
