How to make it

  • Make dough:
  • Mix all together until smooth and pliable on a lightly floured surface
  • Roll out half the dough to fit a 11 x 15 inch pan
  • Sprinkle cornflakes over dough.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and spread evenly over dough.
  • Roll out other half and cover the filling.
  • Slit crust in a few places
  • Brush top crust with the egg white.
  • Bake in a preheated 400F oven for 10 minutes
  • Reduce heat to 375 and bake 25 minutes longer.
  • Drizzle with a powdered sugar icing while warm.
  • Cut when cool.
  • Serve with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
