Country Seed Bread ABM or Oven
From dollhead 15 years agoIngredients
- 3/4 cup warm water (not hot) shopping list
- 4 teaspoons honey shopping list
- 4 teaspoons oil or melted butter shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt shopping list
- 1 & 3/4 cups bread flour shopping list
- 2/3 cups whole wheat flour shopping list
- 3 tablespoons flax seeds shopping list
- 4 teaspoons sesame seeds shopping list
- 2 teaspoons poppy seeds shopping list
- 3 tablespoons pumpkin seeds ( I used raw unsalted ones) shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vital wheat gluten shopping list
- 1 & 1/2 tsp active dry yeast shopping list
How to make it
- Toast all seeds in a dry frying pan over medium heat on your stovetop for a few minutes. Watch them closely as they may burn.
- Let seeds cool before adding to other ingredients. (Toasting the seeds boosts the flavor).
- Add ingredients to your breadpan in the order listed-close the lid-select DOUGH cycle and press START.
- When cycle is completed, remove dough and shape as you wish (loaf pan, free form, etc)
- Cover it looselt with plastic wrap and let it rest another 30-60 minutes (it may rise a little).
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees (I use a stone in my oven for making bread).
- Slash the top of your loaf with a razor or sharp knife about 1/4 inch deep and place loaf in oven.
- Bake about 30 minutes, until bottom of loaf sounds hollow when you tap on the bottom with a wooden spoon. Let loaf cool at least 20 minutes before you slice it. ENJOY!
