Raspberry Sauce Recipe
We have enjoyed this recipe for years. Serve this pretty sauce well chilled over ice cream

Ingredients
  • 1/4c sugar
  • 2Tbs. quick cooking tapioca
  • 2 pkgs.(10oz.ea) frozen sweetened raspberries,thawed
  • 1/2c water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/8tsp salt
  • Dash of ground nutmeg
  • 1/3c lemon juice
  • 1Tbs butter
  • Ice cream of your choice

Directions
  1. In lg. saucepan,combine sugar and tapioca. Add one pkg. of raspberries;stir to coat. Let stand for 15 mins.
  2. Stir in water,cinnamon stick,salt and nutmeg.. Bring to a boil over med. heat ,stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat. Add the lemon juice and butter;stir until butter is melted. Cool for 20 mins.Discard cinnamon stick, . Gently stir in remaining raspberries. Cover and refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice cream.

I have fresh raspberries but I used frozen...the fresh ones are too squishy. Thanks! I Love and appreciate your recipes.


I usually just smash up raspberries and add a little sugar. This is much more creative! LOL!
