Marinated Onion Rings Recipe
Great for a barbeque. Just make ‘em and keep ‘em in the fridge all summer!

Ingredients
  • 1 large Spanish onion, sliced into thin rings
  • cold water to cover
  • 1 cup graulated sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 tbsp. Salad oil

Directions
  1. Slice peeled onion into almost the thinnest slices you can. Separate into rings and place in bowl. Cover with lots of water. Let stand for 1 hour.
  2. In small saucepan mix sugar, vinegar, water and oil. Heat and stir until sugar dissolves. Drain onions. Pour sugar-vinegar mixture over onions. Let stand in refrigerator, covered, for at least one day before serving. Serves 8 to 10.
