How to make it

  • Cut beef in small strips.
  • Peel and chop onion and garlic.
  • Quarter the eggplant.
  • Bring water to a boil and add beef then boil until beef is tender.
  • Remove beef reserving broth and sauté with garlic and onion.
  • Add broth into beef, garlic and onion then bring to a boil.
  • Add vegetables and season to taste with salt.

    Im confused (nothing new there btw) - So do I remove all the cooked beef and the water (reserving it of course) as mentioned, then in same pan I add a little oil and sautee all else -then add back beef with broth? Then how long should you think I should cook the broth once I add the egg plant and artichoke? Thanks for clearing..
