How to make it

  • Heat large heavy sause pan on Medium- heat
  • Add first 4 ingredients and cook until beef is browned and breaking apart
  • Add chilli powder,cumin, cayenne and cinnamon and cook for about one minute
  • Add broth and tomatoes with juice cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • While this is simmering heat tamales according to package instructions
  • Stir beans and corn into soup and simmer until corn is heated through 3 mins.
  • season with salt and pepper.
  • Place 2 tamales in each bowl ladle in soup and sprinkle top with chedder cheese.
