Better Than That Store Bought Baking Mix

- 1/2 C baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 C sugar shopping list
- 9 C flour shopping list
- 1 1/4 C shortening shopping list
How to make it
- Sift together powder and sugar into flour.
- Sift together twice into large mixing bowl.
- Add the shortening, cutting in with pastry blender, until mix is consistency of corn meal.
- You can also do this in your food processor or in the kitchen-aid with the whip attachment.
- Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.
- In the warmer months I stash mine in the fridge.
