How to make it

  • Grease a bundt pan very well and then sprinkle bottom of the pan with the pecans.
  • Cut the rolls into 4 pieces each and place them with the dry butterscotch pudding mix in a bowl and coat thoroughly.
  • Place the rolls in the pan and then sprinkle some of the pudding mix layering with the melted butter and brown sugar.
  • Dust with cinnamon and place the bundt pan on a cookie sheet.
  • Let it sit till the rolls start to rise and then bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.
  • Keeping the pan on the cookie sheet. As soon as it comes out of the oven, turn the pan over on top of plate and let it sit for a couple of minutes and then lift the pan.
  • You may have to slide a knife around the edge of the pan to release the mixture.

My mom makes this; her recipe is called Christmas Morning Rolls, and as the name indicates, she makes it every Christmas eve, lets it thaw and rise on the counter overnight, and bakes and serves it on Christmas morning along with an egg casserole. As she has done this for many years, it has become a tradition in our family to gather at her house for Christmas morning breakfast.
