Chicken Carolina

- 1/3 Cup All Purpose flour shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 Teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 3-lb frying chicken, cut up shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Chopped green pepper shopping list
- 1 clove Garlic, minced shopping list
- 1/4 Cup A-1® steak sauce shopping list
- 1/3 Cup seedless raisins shopping list
- 1 1/3 Cups catsup shopping list
- 1 Cup water shopping list
- 1/4 Cup Melted shortening (or whatever oil you like to fry chicken In) shopping list
How to make it
- Combine flour, salt and pepper and dredge chickn in the mixture.
- Saute chicken in a heavy skillet or elecltric skillet in the shortening until browned.
- Remove chicken to a paper towell to drain and rest.
- Saute onion, peppers and garlic for a few minutes until aromatic and then stir in catcup, water, steak sauce and raisins.
- Return chicken to the skillet and simmer at 250 degrees or on low heat for 30-40 minutes,or until chicken is tender, basting occasionally.
- Serve with rice
